To the relief of onlookers, no occupants were found within the vehicle. Overseeing the operation, Acting Inspector Taylor from the Port Stephens Hunter Police District said, “At this stage, no persons were found in the vehicle, and we are committed to a comprehensive investigation to unravel the mystery surrounding this incident.” An investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the car’s submersion has been launched.
