Each year martial arts school identifies a number of students for excellence in a variety of areas. Awards include, Most improved, Representative, Dedication and the coveted Senior and Junior Imugi of the Year. As well as award categories for the five traditional tenets of Taekwondo, being Integrity, Self Control, Perseverance, Indomitable Spirit, and Courtesy. Chief Instructor, Mr Tony Gillespie told News Of The Area, “Our annual presentation night is a wonderful way to end the year.” “We’re incredibly proud of how dedicated our students are to their training.” Shaun Whittaker told News Of The Area, “I feel humbled to have received the Senior Imugi of the Year award.” “Every student brings a very high standard and I feel honored to have been chosen,” he said.
