Hudson Wells, and Jack Deguara are both from Medowie Public School, and will be competing at State as part of the Hunter Region team in Sydney on 19 and 20 October. Jack is going for the 200m and 800m, in which he beat his personal best by 5 seconds at Regionals. He is in Year 6. Both boys train with Coach Dennis Pitt from Spectrum Sport Sciences, twice a week in Newcastle and also in Medowie. By Rachael VAUGHAN
