HOPE for the Homeless hosted their third Annual Coffs Coast Motor Show followed by a rock concert that left the sell out crowd asking for more at Red-C Events last Saturday.

Hundreds of locals and tourists enjoyed the broad range of 52 cars on show with the stunning backdrop of the Coffs Harbour coastline where $1,400 was raised for Hope for the Homeless through gold coin donations.

Founder and CEO of Hope for the Homeless, Dean Evers was pleased with the public response despite the blustery conditions.

“Hope for the Homeless hosted the third annual Coffs Coast Motor Show at the Red-C Events Centre and apart from strong winds there was a great turn out.

“There were Fords, Holdens, vintage cars and bikes, 52 entrants in all and apart from lots of marvellous shiny machines there was a good steady stream of spectators meaning the charity was able to raise about $1,400,” said Dean.

Cold Chisel tribute band, Chisel Revived, entertained the sell out crowd with iconic Cold Chisel songs.

The crowd went wild when John Swan, a founding member of Cold Chisel and the older brother to Jimmy Barnes, burst onto the stage cranking out Working Class Man.

Jane Reidy, Director at Red-C Events, summed up the day.

“RED-C are proud to be part of the third Annual Coffs Coast Motor Show, we had a good turn out, despite the windy day.

“Chisel Revived was a sold out show with a very special performance by Swanee (John Swan), the patron of Hope for the Homeless and legendary performer. It was a fantastic night with lots of classic Chisel songs and dancing,” said Jane.
