Since starting the business, Debbie has completed a dietician consultant course, boxing, pregnancy and exercise, group fitness, aqua aerobics, and kids yoga courses. Debbie told News of the Area, “After finishing the aqua course I approached Tilligerry Aquatic Centre and that's where the aqua journey began.” Classes run for 45 to 50 minutes each, with a five minute warmup followed by muscle conditioning and the aerobic component. Classes are open to all fitness levels, taking place where you can stand in the pool or on a flotation device. Classes at the aquatic centre can have up to 20 people per class. If you would like Debbie to teach the classes from your home swimming pool, you can have up to six people. “Classes are aimed at all fitness levels as you work to your ability but are exceptionally good for anyone having joint or muscle problems while exercising on land,” Debbie said. “Our business motto is not about weight loss or fitness – it's to feel good, love what you do, and improve joint and muscle movement.” Classes at the Aquatic Centre are held on Monday at 11am for gentle aerobics, Tuesday 6pm for aqua fitness and Saturday 11am for aqua aerobics.
