In the flags competition, Sophie finished 8th out of 200 while Ella came in 15th. Tiarna just missed out on making the finals, while her board and swim were cancelled due to the large swell. The sprints competition was held on Saturday with Sophie making it into the finals and Ella coming in 10th, missing a finals berth by just one place. Sophie’s outstanding finish saw her family and supporters head back to Blacksmiths on Sunday to compete in the finals and they weren’t disappointed, the tiny 10 year old coming in an amazing third and winning a bronze medal.
