Fourteen competitors made the grade for the start of the Hawks Nest Golf Club Social Club’s golf afternoon held every Thursday at the Hawks Nest Golf Club.

Last Thursday saw the first of many fun golf rounds which are scheduled to continue every Thursday of daylight savings.

The weather was glorious for all the golfers and the overall winner for the day was Trent Lamborn.

The runner up of this first event was Richard Lee.

Playing great golf and worthy of mention was Dave Evans who also won the men’s “nearest to the pin” competition.

In the ladies division, the “nearest to the pin” winner was Sue Brownrigg.
