The Scramble is Australia’s largest and most successful pro-amateur events. “All teams have won just be getting to the final, having beaten roughly 8,000 teams at local level and 500 teams at the regional final,” Hawks Nest Head Professional, Andrew McCormack, told News Of The Area. Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE The team , led by Andrew, is made up of all Hawks Nest staff, Club Manager Richard Simmers, Course Superintendent Bobby Lee, Ben Mills and Louis Steel. “The guys are off different handicaps, it’s a game of strategy,” Andrew told News Of The Area. “We won the regionals by just 0.2, scoring 17.5 under par,” he said. The team will now compete for the national title against 23 other teams from around Australia, travelling to the Twin Waters Golf Club on the Queensland Sunshine Coast next month. “It’s just a really good fun week up there, full of functions and theme nights,”said Andrew.
