The Hawks Nest Golf Club is hosting the “Inaugural Grey Nomads’ Cup” in conjunction with the Grey & Thespian Mardi Gras on Friday 8 April 2016 as part of Seniors Week Celebrations.

Organiser David Gilbert said he is looking forward to seeing a great turn-out of players on the day.

“This is a 4-person-ambrose event which has been sponsored by Palm Lake Resorts,” he said.

Mr Gilbert said there will be a host of great prizes on offer on the day including a Perpetual Trophy and four replica trophies for the winning team plus prizes for the placegetters, nearest the pins and longest drive.

“We are hoping to attract players from many clubs all around the outlying areas for this year’s event.  But of course we will be building on making The Grey Nomads’ Cup a bigger and better event where hopefully we can attract players and travelling nomads from all around NSW and even VIC in future years,” he said.

The cost of $50 per head includes green fees, a meal and a drink voucher for each competitor.

All players must have an Australian Golf Link number and be aged 50 years or older.
