Port Stephens Council has announced the appointment of Greg Kable as the new Group Manager Facilities and Services
The appointment of Mr Kable, who has fulfilled the role of Section Manager Capital Works since 2013 and Works Manager before that since 2011, brings over 30 years’ local government experience to his new role with Council’s Executive Team.

According to Council’s General Manager Wayne Wallis, Greg Kable was the natural fit for the role.
“I am confident he will provide excellent leadership to the organisation generally and, in particular, the Facilities and Services Group; he’s a great addition to our strong leadership team here at Port Stephens Council.”
Mr Kable said he feels very privileged for his appointment to the role that encompasses Capital Works, Community Services, Assets and Public Domain and Services sections.
“I have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to represent the organisation at a senior level for the past three years and I am excited to continue this representation at the executive level,” he said.
Port Stephens Mayor Bruce MacKenzie hailed the appointment and its continuation of recognising the talent that exists within the organisation.
“Greg’s appointment has the resounding endorsement of Councillors and me, and I wish him all the best,” Mayor MacKenzie said.
Mr Kable joins the Executive Team alongside the General Manager, Group Manager Development Services Mike McIntosh and Group Manager Corporate Services Carmel Foster.
He officially commences his new role on Monday 19 December 2016.
