AS we grow older it’s often the simple pleasures in life that bring us the most joy.

Tea Gardens Library is celebrating Seniors Week with a morning called ‘Grandparents Storytime’.

“This is a first for Tea Gardens Library,” Librarian Carol Johnson told News Of The Area.

Grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren for a morning of stories, songs, rhymes and morning tea .

“It is our normal story time slot, so ideally those children who come, will bring their grandparents with them,” Carol said.

“We’ll have three generations in the library, it will be lovely.”

The Seniors Week event at Tea Gardens Library is being held on Monday 6 March at 9.30am.

Stroud Library is also holding ‘Grandparents Storytime’ on Friday 3 March at 10.30am.

Just a reminder that Homework Help is up and running again every Wednesday afternoon at Tea Gardens Library.

The program is open to all school aged children from Kindergarten to Year 12 HSC students.

‘’We have homework help from 3pm until 4.45pm and a lovely group of volunteers who have had all their police checks and working with children checks to help children with their homework,” Carol said.

To check times and programs you can call the Tea Gardens Library on 4997 1265 or go online: midcoast.greatlakes.nsw.gov.au/library.
