The line-up of officials is: David Wilks President, Chris Hanson Vice President, Peter Camac Treasurer, Craig Hallam Secretary/Publicity Officer, Jayden Heidtmann Director, Jai Weller Director and Laurie Hall Director. “This is the first ever Men’s Shed in the Orara Valley which will be a blessing for the local community and men in the area. “We were given a building to rent for 25 years by the Glenreagh Mountain Railway on the back section of their property. “With numerous working bees the train tracks that occupied the shed were removed, plastic and reo were put down then concreted, with help from HQ Concrete and Farlow Concreting. “We started putting in equipment for woodworking that has been donated by the local community, Woolgoolga Men’s Shed, Glenreagh Mountain Railway and Coffs Harbour Hardwoods. “On 19 September, the Glenreagh Men’s Shed was opened with a BBQ lunch for members and family, new members and the community, and was a great success. “Over the coming months we will be producing projects to benefit the community and the Men’s Shed. “We welcome more members, so if you’ve thought about joining a Men’s Shed, I highly recommend doing it. “It doesn’t matter what age you are; it’s about a sense of belonging. “Our youngest member is 25 and our oldest is 86. “We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.” Contact Craig Hallam at glenreaghmensshed@gmail.com or on 0432 250445.
