Progress Association Secretary, Patricia Garrard lists some of his responsibilities.

“He’s responsible for regional ports, which Tea Gardens is one, Holiday Parks such as Jimmys Beach and Hawks Nest Caravan Parks, the New South Wales dredging program, Coastal management, bushfire, pest and weed control and land owner consents.”

Gordon Grainger from the Myall River Action Group said, “Mr Bunny’s responsibilities stretch from the Queensland to the Victorian borders and he is up to date with the various issues within the Myall area.”

His vast portfolio opens the way for discussion on a range of issues affecting the Myall from the ongoing battle over dredging, the proposed Sheargold development and erosion issues at Winda Woppa.

The meeting is being held in the Old Library on Booner Street in Hawks Nest at 7pm on Monday 9 October.
