Give Golf A Go with Hawks Nest Ladies Golf Sport Sport Results by News Of The Area - Modern Media - February 28, 2022 New ladies who joined the Give Golf A Go program. THE ‘Give Golf A Go’ program is once again underway at the Hawks Nest Golf Club with up to 16 new ladies trying their hand at the game and being tutored by the club’s Professional Andrew McCormack. This is an opportunity for any ladies who would like to just have a try at the basics of golf and to see if they would enjoy the game – before taking the next step to join the club and participate in the ladies competitions. It is being promoted to encourage ladies to get out into the fresh air, improve your fitness and encourage new friendships. Ladies President Annette Benson told News Of The Area that it’s very exciting to see so many younger ladies showing an interest in learning to play golf at the moment. “Of course the Club’s ongoing success certainly relies on new players coming along to join and to be active playing members. “We are certainly thrilled to see this fantastic response from the ladies who are participating,” Ms Bensen said. This program is being fostered by the Hawks Nest Lady Golfers who are keen to assist new players to the game and to nurture them around the course, as well as in competitions. If there are other ladies out in the community who are interested and would still like to participate in the program, please give Andrew a call at the Pro Shop on 4997 0740 and he will be happy to give you more details.
