THE Mid North Coast NSW Harley Owners Group (MNCHOG) will ride out on Sunday 12 December 2021 for the 28th year, hosting the Coffs Harbour Salvation Army Toy Run ‘Open to All Motorcycles & Riders’ event.

Justin Owens, MNHOG Head Road Captain North told News Of The Area, “Historically the Toy Run has always been about both local motorcyclists and not-so-local motorcyclists supporting Coffs Coast underprivileged children and teenagers with the Coffs Harbour Salvation Army.

“The Coffs Salvos are the real Santas and the ‘glue’ of charity within our community at this time of year.

“The legacy of this Toy Run has a fantastic tradition and is well embraced by the local motorcycle community.

“We are looking forward to a fantastic Toy Run this year.

“People always dress up their motorcycles in Christmas decorations and wear Santa, Elf and Mrs Claus costumes and get right into the whole Christmas spirit.

“It’s not just the guys riding either, the ladies who ride motorcycles make up a large number of the attendees and are very involved in the Toy Run annually.

“We love the waves and support from the public on the ride, it really goes a long way and demonstrates why we all live on the beautiful Coffs Coast.”

The MNCHOG’s are selling $5.00 Toy Run patches with all proceeds going to The Salvation Army.

“The main aim is to help continue the charitable spirit and historical tradition of ‘Open to All Motorcycles’ and help put smiles on the faces of Coffs Coast children and teenagers this Christmas.

“Let’s help our local Salvation Army in Coffs Harbour…it’s been a critical year for a lot of Coffs children and teenagers and their families in this region.”

As always, the meeting and start point is in the main car park of the North Beach Recreational and Bowling Club.
Sign On is at 11am and Stands Up is at 11.30am.

The route goes via Pine Creek Way (Bonville and Boambee), Lyons Road (Boambee and Sawtell), Lyons Road (Boambee and Sawtell), First Avenue (Sawtell), Hogbin Drive (Toormina and Coffs Harbour), Harbour Drive (Coffs Harbour) to Jordan Esplanade, Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore for a Gold Coin Salvation Army BBQ.

The Salvation Army will be taking donations of toys, gift cards, food and coin collection plus EFTPOS ATM donations.
