Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au The Gallery is home to the renowned Galleries in the Gardens (GIG) not-for-profit art group. “The COVID lockdown has given our artists a fabulous opportunity to really let their minds run free and produce some amazing Winter Warmer works to this year’s theme of ‘Out Back, Out There’,” says GIG president Lesly Stevenson. “We look forward to welcoming everyone again, and want to assure you all that COVID safety measures are in place in line with Government health guidelines. “While you visiting do also look out for this year’s Winter Warmer raffle and its special prize, a magnificent framed painting by dearly departed GIG artist Desley Voigt.” Due to COVID restrictions the annual Winter Warmer Art Exhibition launch party, always a social highlight, will not be held; The Gallery’s days and hours have been cut back; and for the time being ‘flick through’ items, such as original greeting cards, local authors’ books and unframed artworks, will not be available. Surrounded by lush garden, The Gallery is located at 81 Marine Drive in the café strip on the Tea Gardens waterfront (diagonally opposite the ferry wharf). Entry is free and the building is wheelchair accessible. Desley Voigt RafflePrize with Lee Anderson. Ann Carolyn peaking at Winter Warmers works. Some Winter Warmers artworks.
