Friendship Groups Outings Result in Win for Local Charities Thanks To Port Stephens Coaches

The Friendship Group takes trips and uses the services of our local Port Stephens Coaches to get around.

Port Stephens Coaches thank the Friendship Group for the support in using the local coach service, and as a special gesture of thanks donated $400 to two local charities chosen by The Friendship Group.

Two donations were presented to the chosen local charities, The Rural Fire Service and Tomaree Hospital Auxiliary.

Representatives of these two organisations will be there to receive $400 each, together with personnel from Port Stephens Coaches to make the presentation.

The Friendship Group are delighted that in enjoying outings and trips together, it has also resulted in two deserving and worthwhile local groups sharing the advantages.

Fran Wathen of the Friendship Group told News Of The Area, “It’s a win for all concerned including the Friendship Group who has the most fun on their day trips and tours.”

The Friendship Group has a membership of 130 and meets at 5.00pm on the last Tuesday of every month at Diggers Nelson Bay, and then have dinner together in the club Brasserie new members are very welcome.
