It follows another haul of medals for the 12 year old Medowie Christian School student at the recent Little Athletics Regionals at Glendale.

Keira’s tally for the weekend, three gold and two silver.

Her proud dad John McGregor said, “Keira won the 100m in record time as well as winning gold in the 200m and the long jump.”

The two silver, came in the triple jump and relay.

“The Triple was gained in one single jump out of six allowed, as she left to prepare for the 200m final,” John said.

For anyone not familiar with the schedules of athletics competitions it can be confusing with two major Athletics competitions vying for bragging rights.

Keira’s success at the Little Athletes Regionals will see her head to the Little Athletes New South Wales State Championships in Sydney in March to compete in all four of her personal best events.

This weekend however it’s the NSW Athletics State championships, we wish her well.
