Fishing results for Hawks Nest Social Club

    The Christmas party for the Hawks Nest Social Club was a treat for all which included a banquet luncheon, plenty of toasts for the Christmas festivities and a game of quoits.

Most of the current members were seen celebrating and even a director.

The day wouldn’t have been complete without a quoits team round robin that only Graeme Stuart and Paul Hunt had the skills to win. Congratulations!

Thursday social golf was a washout!

Darts still soldiered on with Darren Rapley  taking out the evening as outright winner very closely followed for the runner up was Bob Ibbotson.

The winner of the ladies highest score competition with a score of 135 was Grace Oldfield.

The mens highest score division winner, Graham Lawler,scored 112.

A  six week break for the social clubs fishing outings has started while the Christmas celebrations are on.

Leaving previous weekend the last chance for a social angling competition to be held.

Extra large seas made for a tough start on Friday afternoon but the weather showed mercy to provide us all with a beautiful sunny Sunday weigh in.

The mystery fish of an Australian salmon was not claimed and therefore compounds further in the new year.

The ladies division winner was Jessica Slow.

The mens division runner up was Jed Malone with some great bream and the fishing outing winner was Luke Boyd, catching a mulloway, whiting and seven bream.

With more than half the seasons events successfully completed Luke Boyd now has taken the yearly lead narrowly in front of Andrew Sharp.

The yearly points score competition is going to be close for all the rest of the current season.

The ladies yearly points score is also anyone’s for the taking ,with Jessica Slow leading from Karen Glynn.
