JUST because there is a pandemic doesn’t mean that the winter season won’t see more call outs for the local Fire and Rescue Crews, however it will change the way they interact with the public.

It’s worth it for your business.

Dennis Peters, Captain of Fire and Rescue NSW, Raymond Terrace told News Of The Area, “As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, your local Fire and Rescue crew will be interacting with the community a bit differently for the time being.
“We have cancelled all community engagements including schools and childcare centre visits, as well as our home fire safety visits.
“We will also not be allowing entry to our station or truck of anyone but essential personnel.”
The good news is that the crews will still be there to keep us safe if there is a fire.
And the community can call to ask for advice over the phone or even ask questions via Facebook.
Captain Peters encourages anyone that has any questions to get in touch.
“These changes are to ensure the safety and good health of our crew, so that we are able to continue responding to emergencies in our area and looking after the community.
“We will be stepping up cleaning and disinfecting our station and appliances, but otherwise it is business as usual for us in protecting the community,” he said.
