When they recently headed out to the Country to Ducks-in-the-Field restaurant near Morpeth for a delightful “high tea”.
Members enjoyed a sumptuous seven courses of individual treats were presented on quirky dishes, accompanied by a splendid fruit punch and, later, coffee or tea.
Julia Redlich of the Fingal Bay Probus Club told News Of The Area, “The fresh surroundings featured colourful artwork and there was a selection of mementos to purchase; and what better way to end a day out of fun, friendship and fabulous food than a stroll in the surrounding garden before heading home?”
The Probus Club of Fingal Bay meets on the second Monday of each month at 9.30am at the Fingal Bay Sports and Recreation Club, 100 Rocky Point Road, Fingal Bay.
Probus offers a selection of activities to enjoy the fun and friendship with fellow members.
These include barbecues, a book lovers’ club and walking for pleasure.
Probus invites a variety of guest speakers and new members, guests and visitors are always welcome.
