The toughest, most elite lifesavers in the world faced each other for Round 3 of Summer of Surf at Fingal Bay on Sunday.

The Summer of Surf is televised nationally on Australia’s premier sports network Fox Sports.

Capturing all of the action on the water and sand, the stars of the sport are featured like they have never been seen before.

The Summer of Surf showcases the Surf Ironman Qualifying Series, Australian Surf Ski Series, First National Board Series, Australian Surf Swim Series, Australian Taplin Series and Australian Beach Flags Series.

The end of Round 3 found Newport ironman Kendrick Louis as winner of the Ironman Event.

Kendrick had plenty to prove at Fingal Bay after a disappointing performance at his home beach in the last round of the Summer of Surf.

He was forced to dig deep, beating James Lacey in a run up the beach.

Kurrawa’s Rebecca Creedy was the winner of the Ironwoman Event.

Nothing was more motivational for the former Commonwealth Games Swimmer than losing a race she felt she should have won a fortnight ago.

Creedy was victorious in the winner’s circle in the third round of Summers of Surf Series at Fingal Bay, after holding off Sydney surf lifesaver Lizzie Welborn for the win.

“This was a great day and a very well run, efficient event with great competitors,” Samantha Faragher, a volunteer official for the event, told Bay News Of The Area.

“Fingal Bay Surf Club should be congratulated on a great job hosting this event,” Ms Faragher said.

Other results on the day included First National Real Estate Female Board Race winner Amy Nurthen and the First National Real Estate Male Board Race winner Max Brooks.

The Run Swim Run event was won by Kendrick Louis.

Aussiebodies Male Taplin was won by BMD Northcliffe and the Open Male Swim winner was Matt Poole.

White Ribbon Australia’s Ski Race was won by Riley Fitzz.
