F45 Coffs Harbour celebrate all-inclusive Coffs Fitness Pride Event

Stace Fletch, Steve Zaal, Emma Pitomaki, Shannon Creek and Ivy Francis join F45’s Coffs Fitness Pride Event.

F45 COFFS Harbour celebrated the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, sistergirl and brotherboy (LGBTQI+SB) community with an all-inclusive Coffs Fitness Pride Event on Saturday 25 June.

“Before the sun rose, F45 Coffs Harbour was pumping Lady GaGa’s ‘Born this Way’ with over 200 locals dressed in rainbow flair, pumping out a fun group workout,” F45 co-owner Alicia Corsar told News Of The Area.

The energetics were followed by a parking-lot brekkie and coffee party.

F45 hosted the day, with ten local businesses supporting this first ever Coffs Fitness Pride Event.

Everyone from the Pride community, supporters, friends and family joined forces to embrace solidarity, kindness and love.

“And woah, did they bring the energy with singing, dancing, push-ups, squats and a whole lot of hugs and laughter,” said Alicia.

Led by F45 studio manager Emma Pitomaki, with unconditional support from F45 owners Alicia and Dave Corsar, she collaborated with Nutrition Culture, Coffs Coast Crossfit, Jenna Ferreira Health & Fitness, Mid North Coast Physiotherapy, Eddie’s Food Truck, My Mates Place, Sign Fairy AU Coffs Harbour, Kirrin Singh Photography, Reel Social Haus and Nourish Coffs Harbour to create a milestone Pride event.

Emma Pitomaki told NOTA, “I’m an openly gay woman and wanted to create an inclusive event where everyone could celebrate together, feel safe and authentically be themselves.

“This event was about being something bigger than ourselves, and the love and support we received was incredible.”

The Pride event also included raising awareness and gold coin donations for Black Rainbow.

Black Rainbow is a LGBTQI+SB organisation in the pursuit of positive health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, focusing on suicide prevention.

F45 owners Alicia and Dave Corsar said, “The small businesses that joined us were setting up in our car parking in the freezing cold at 5am with the biggest smiles and warmest hearts.

“We’re so proud to be part of the Coffs businesses community.

“Reigniting community health and wellbeing after the past two years of hardship is at the heart of what us business owners live and breathe,” she said.

“The kindness, compassion, respect, light and love that was felt at our Pride event, is what builds this resilient community and we could not have been prouder of Em, the businesses and supporters.”
