Fitness classes provide a regular way to help prevent and manage health conditions, but also provide a fun and social atmosphere. “It’s about having fun, having a laugh and meeting new people, while getting fit.” “The exercises are gentle and respect that people with health conditions can benefit greatly from attendance,” Debbie said. The classes are open to males and females of any age (but specifically cater to the over 50s and those with or at risk of chronic conditions). “It doesn’t matter how fit (or unfit!) you are. Even if you have never exercised, you can come along to a Heartbeat class,” Debbie said. The classes are conducted in the Tomaree Library and Community Centre every Thursday at 8am and 9am. Cost is $7 per class and there are no membership fees. Debbie welcomes any enquiries about her BayFit Heartbeat classes by calling her on 0490 190 284 or by email: info@BayFit.net.au. By Jo FINN
