Escapee arrested at Forster Forster, Tuncurry by NOTA - March 9, 2015 Two men, one of which was an escapee from a correctional facility, have been arrested during a police operation in Forster. Following investigations into an escapee from a correctional facility in Cessnock earlier this month, police from Manning Great Lakes conducted an operation in the Forster on Sunday 8 March 2015. During the operation, a man was seen to climb out of a window and run from a home on Cabarita Avenue. Police gave chase and the man was arrested. The 22-year-old was taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with breach of bail. Following his arrest police observed another man, run from a home on Cabarita Avenue. The man led police on a foot pursuit before he was arrested several hundred metres away in a swamp. The 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station and charged with escape lawful custody. Both men have been refused bail to appear at Taree Local Court today (Monday 9 March 2015).
