The 69-year-old female had been assisting her partner cut wood at their property in Nerong at 3.15pm on 26 June. Bulahdelah Police report the partner had been operating the chainsaw as the female reached over the top of saw to take hold of a piece timber. Her lower right arm then came in contact with the running blade inflicting several lacerations to her arm. The female immediately compressed the wounds with a towel.
