Emergency services render assistance as man dies at Woolgoolga bus stop

Local Coffs-Clarence Police members attended the scene at a Woolgoolga bus stop along with SES members from Corindi and Coffs Harbour.

 

A MAN has died at a Woolgoolga bus stop around noon on Friday 12 February as a result of a medical incident.

The medical incident, believed to be a cardiac arrest, occurred at the bus stop located alongside Woolgoolga Woolworths on Solitary Islands Way.

A young woman was observed rendering assistance to the man and giving him CPR inside the bus stop at around noon on Friday.

A local NSW Ambulance crew quickly attended the scene to provide professional medical assistance followed by several police cars from the Coffs-Clarence Local Police Area Command, and one member from the Corindi SES unit and one member from the Coffs Harbour SES unit also attended the scene.

Police later covered the body of the deceased with a white sheet, taped off the surrounding area around the bus stop with police tape and tarped off the front of the bus stop to the public.

When contacted by News Of The Area about the incident a police constable from Coffs-Clarence Local Police Area Command declined to comment on the death but stated “it appears to be a medical issue”.
