Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE Local seafood was in demand, keeping Cole Bros Oysters at Karuah exceptionally busy. “Obviously the most popular item that we have sold has been oysters, but prawns have been very popular as well,” Tina Cole said. “The quality of the local seafood has been nothing short of amazing.” Tina said for the first time, they sold fish in store for Easter, and had a very big run with mullet. Good Friday and Easter Sunday religious services throughout the region were well attended with residents and visitors coming together to share the message of hope and peace. As usual, the roads were busy with travelers, who flocked to the region’s eateries. “We haven’t stopped all day, we have been very busy since 5.30 this morning with people stopping in for coffees,” Lacey Dawes from Café On Main said. “We have had a lot of regular travelers coming through, mainly families, and a lot of older couples as well.” Lacey told News Of The Area their range of homemade cakes sold out. “We also made special Easter Cupcakes and had salmon patties for Good Friday which were very popular as well,” she said. For delighted children, waking up on Easter Sunday to discover treats left by the Easter Bunny was a magical experience. “I liked running around and finding all the eggs the Easter Bunny left, and I found lots and lots,” four-year old Ethan Swann said. After four-days packed full of hot cross buns and chocolate eggs, all that is left to do now is work off the sugar-filled Easter treats consumed.
