The annual School Art and Craft Expo kicks off this Thursday night at 6pm with a giant auction, raffle and two course dinner at Tea Gardens Primary in Witt Street.
It is an over 18’s event.
The Art Expo is now in its 42nd year and will run over Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the Easter long weekend with hundreds of works on display.
If you feel like some fun on the water head down to South Pindimar for the annual raft race event on Sunday 21 April.
The action kicks off at 10.30am.
For the kiddies, there’s plenty to do at the Tea Gardens Library ahead of ANZAC Day.
“We’ll be reading stories about animals as mates during the war, making poppies and other Anzac Day craft as well as enjoying afternoon tea,” Librarian Carol Johnson said.
The craft day is being held on Wednesday 24 April beginning at 2.30pm.
The Library will also be closed on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.
And if you love a bit of Bingo, then Vinnies is running it’s ever popular school holiday cash bingo at the Hawks Nest Golf Club.
“Enthusiastically supported by locals and visitors alike, the game includes cash prizes and a meat tray raffle on the night,” Ian Mackenzie-Smith said.
Children under the age of 18 are most welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds go to the Society of St Vincent de Paul organisation.
