Big hats, carrots hats and rabbit hats were some of the magnificent creations paraded in front of classmates, doting parents, grandparents and friends.

Proud parents snapped hundreds of pictures of the bonnets and bunnies as they passed, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Like all children and visitors, Tea Gardens student Simone Miller was impressed with the creative talents on show.

“All of the hats were really high quality, I think they are all winners,” Simone said.

Bulahdelah student Annabelle Smith told News Of The Area, “the hats were amazing”.

“There were so many and they all looked pretty and very colourful,” she said.

Although hat parades are always a highlight of the school calendar, the occasion was extra special for Tea Gardens coordinating teacher, Ms Maloney.

“This was one of her last official roles as Assistant Principal before retiring after 39 years of dedicated service as a class teacher,” Principal Mr Mark Clemson said.

After a lot of egg-cellent fun, staff at Karuah and Tea Gardens Public Schools and Bulahdelah Central School, thanked all the children and parents for their hard work in creating the impressive Easter hats.

The schools also wish their students, parents and communities a safe and happy Easter holiday break.
