The Seabreeze Hotel hosts Duncan Woods from 8:30pm on 6 October.

Duncan Woods is a Zimbabwean born, Australian grown, traveling singer-songwriter.

Rhythmic guitar work under quick sharp lyrics are Duncan’s speciality, and a performance certainly not to be missed.

His acoustic-driven folk/reggae/rap vocals weaving between the groove with ease will have you nodding your head in the back row or bouncing at the front without much need for encouragement.

Over the past few years, Duncan’s interest in the big wide world around him has allowed him to soak in many sights, sounds, smells, perspectives and beliefs.

Duncan splits his time between Australia and Europe, avoiding Winter in search of that endless Summer and exploring all over.

Duncan has created the perfect musical teams to suit his repertoire on each continent, with a band in Australia whilst he is here, and a band in Europe when he’s there avoiding the Australian Winter.

In Würzburg, Germany, Duncan plays with the ‘Epicureans’, and in Australia it’s ‘The Notable Few’.

In Duncan’s words, the two bands have taken his solo sound and “added thick gravy, fat grooves, bright horns, jazzy vibes and tight rootsy times – A genre difficult to pinpoint, one that can simply be described as ‘Sidewalk Surf’.”

As we ease into beautiful spring weather at the Bay, there’s no better experience to have this weekend than a cool beer, live tunes from Duncan Woods, and the unbeatable ambience of the Seabreeze Hotel, Nelson Bay.
