This new wastewater dump point is a small but very important piece of infrastructure for recreational vehicle (RV) tourists passing through Raymond Terrace.

Through the NSW Government’s Regional Growth – Environment and Tourism Fund, established under the Restart NSW fund, in association with CMCA, Port Stephens Council has installed a “Dump-Ezy” dump point unit and signage and received up to $3,750 towards installation costs.

“The best way to get RV travellers to visit Raymond Terrace, stay and spend money with local businesses, is to offer the essential services they need” said CMCA CEO, Richard Barwick.

“I know CMCA members appreciate being made welcome and our members always support those communities that support them”.

CMCA currently has initiated over 460 dump point installations Australia wide supported by our corporate partner Kea Campers and now has the potential for an additional 80 units in NSW alone supported by the NSW Government allocation of $500,000. This will take the number of public dump points in NSW to over 180, the highest number of any state or territory in Australia

CMCA is Australia’s largest RV club and with over 70,000 members is the largest in the southern hemisphere.

CMCA is working with local councils across NSW to install dump point facilities and ensure all RV travellers can dispose of their waste in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.

The facility at Bettles Park is available to all RV travellers free of charge.

Port Stephens Duty MLC, Catherine Cusack, said the Government was proud to support a project that would help increase tourism visitation to regional locations and boost local businesses.

“That’s exactly why the Regional Growth – Environment and Tourism Fund was established,” Ms Cusack said.

“Tourism is a growing industry in regional NSW and we want to ensure our regional communities have the infrastructure in place to attract visitors to their towns.”

Port Stephens Mayor Ryan Palmer said, “Raymond Terrace is excited to welcome even more RV travellers to our beautiful, historic town, which is an ideal stopping point when heading north.”

“Growing our visitor economy across all of Port Stephens is a key focus for our Council, so it’s great to be able to attract even more visitors with this new infrastructure.”

  1. If you have a Dump Point than it would be a great help to put an address on the website so people can find just where it is.
