The ladies were then activated to work in outreach, Narelle and Karen in Nabiac and Jenny in the Macleay district, assisting in ensuring that people were receiving financial services and referrals as needed.

The Branch members are now preparing for the months ahead.

Janet Baker, Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest, Red Cross Emergency Services Team said, “We now have a great group of our branch who have had Psychological First Aid Training and are ready for the upcoming fire and flood season.”

As pictured, Branch members wear brown t-shirts to indicate they have completed the training.

Meanwhile, Branch members continue to offer vital services to the community.

“Jenny Kelly and Yvonne O’Donnell have been working with Red Cross Calling with daily phone calls, sometimes the only person they talk to all day.”
