ROBERT and Constance Chapman of Medowie celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary on 9 June 2016.

This momentous occasion was celebrated their family at The Green House Restaurant at Pacific Dunes Golf Club.

Bob and Connie as they are affectionately known moved to Medowie from Blacksmiths 5 years ago to be closer to their family.

They have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Connie first met Bob at age 16 when she was babysitting for a friend and Bob just happened to live next door.

Their paths crossed again when Connie was working at Fitts Pharmacy at The Bank Corner in Newcastle Bob was a bus conductor and would wave as his bus went past the pharmacy.

They started dating when Connie was 18 and we’re married at Belmont 3 years later.

In the 1960’s they moved to Tamworth then Quirindi returning in 1970 where Bob started working at Tubemakers at Mayfield until he retired Bob has been a keen fisherman over the years and still loves tinkering in his shed Connie loves to bake and spend time with her family and friends.

If you ask them what is the success to their 60 years of marriage they both agree lots of laughter having a loving family great friends and argue if needed but always make up before the sun goes down.
