Dancers add colour to The Summer Beach Hop event at Jetty Foreshores

The Woolgoolga Performing Arts Lindy Hoppers will perform at The Summer Beach Hop.

ON Saturday, March 26 the popular retro music and classic car event The Summer Beach Hop returns to the Jetty Foreshores after an absence of more than two years.

Organisers John Logan Entertainment have plans well in place, but this week have added an extra attraction to an already impressive bill.

As well as The Australian Beach Boys, Gold Coast band The Crawdaddys featuring Bobby Cochrane, and the Julie Ross Dance Studio dancers doing a ‘Grease’ inspired flash-mob, the brand new Woolgoolga Performing Arts Lindy Hoppers have come on board.

“When Kristy Pursch agreed to be part of it, we were really excited and they will present a display of the Lindy Hop style as well as mixing with patrons during the night,” John Logan said.

“We’re expecting twelve to sixteen dancers all in 60s inspired gear so it will add a lot of colour and fun to the event,” Kristy added.

Tickets to the event went on sale earlier this month and organisers are reporting keen interest from classic car owners keen to display their cars whose owners are coming from Grafton, Yamba and as far away as Taree, from where the Manning Valley ‘Cruzers’ will provide a strong contingent.

The Summer Beach Hop is on Saturday March 26 at the Jetty Foreshores and tickets are on sale at www.summerbeachhop.com.au.
