The studio studies Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Classical Ballet, Jazz and National Character and Les Griffith Tap Dancing Association (LGTDA) Tap.
Two independent examiners conducted the exams in small groups, where students were judged on effort, technique, timing, grooming, musicality and stage presence.
Three students were awarded with the highest Accolade of “Honours with Distinction” – Ebony Deguara, Olivia Lightfoot and Kyara Darcy.
All students passed with 100% pass rate for the studio, an impressive achievement.
Principal of Dance n Dazzle, Ms Corynne Darcy, told News Of The Area, “Our students sit for exams every year which improves their overall ability, confidence and flexibility as well as giving students something to strive towards.”
“They receive a report, certificate and medal.”
“When students have completed their exams it goes towards possible future accreditation for themselves also,”
Ms Corynne said the students achieve even more than exam results when they are tested.
“I watch the students confidence increasing as they prepare and take their exams, it truly is wonderful to watch, and builds lifelong skills.”
The dancers from Dance n Dazzle are now working on their routines for the annual concert for the studio, to be held on Sunday 25 November at St Phillip’s Christian College Theatre, Waratah,
Performances at Raymond Terrace MarketPlace and also at Salamander Bay Shopping Centre are also coming up.
