Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said the roadshow will visit a number of local communities across the Mid North Coast.

It will focus on practical business support and give business owners an opportunity to speak directly with a range of government specialists and non-government business groups.

“There are more than 785,000 small businesses in NSW, many of whom are currently struggling in light of the bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mr Singh said.

“The roadshow is about giving our businesses an opportunity to ask questions about how to be COVID safe and learn about the support measures available to them, such as the COVID-19 and bushfire recovery grants.”

Mr Singh said the roadshow will be at C.ex Coffs on 15 and 16 July and will be tailored to meet the needs of the local business community.

“We want to make it easier for business owners to access the support they need, whether it’s to do with upskilling and training apprentices, completing a COVID-safe plan or mediation and advocacy with landlords,” Mr Singh said.

“The Service NSW Business Concierge team will be onsite to provide support as well as Business Connect advisors who can help businesses develop a customised recovery strategy, pivot and grow their digital presence.

“If you’re a small business owner, you don’t have to battle through on your own.”
