Peta Shelton said, “I never thought I would ever achieve this enormous milestone after the treatment I received.” “My boys are ecstatic and my little girl watched on and it left her talking about her mummy with pride.” The Whale Cup is a race where there are two male and two female rowers. “When Peta agreed to row James Fitzpatrick jumped at the opportunity to sweep them, and Megan Elizabeth joined them to make up the crew.” “Peta had previously rowed in the Clubs open women’s crew last year, Craig has been a Masters rower and son Rex has just started rowing in a fast emerging talented U/19 crew, “ Peter said. “We all know what Peta has gone through the past year, so what a fantastic effort and great thing to do with the family, in not the calmest of surf conditions on the day.” The Shelton family and crew finished second in their event, now only one point off a top of the table finish.
