East Ward Councillor Sally Dover has declared that she will run for Council again in 2017.

Sally Dover was first elected to Council in 2004 and has been a passionate community advocate.

Working to ensure the best outcomes for Port Stephens residents, Sally said she is keen to finish many projects that she has helped get off the ground.

Cr Dover told The News Of The Area, “There are many important projects that need finishing; the process to get them started has been completed and we now need to do the work.”

“The Fingal Bay link road is essential, as is the bus interchange at Anna Bay and the shared pathway or the cycleway as it was called when we first started the project still needs the missing links filled in.”

Ms Dover said, “I am keen to get our parks and foreshores made accessible and opened to the wider public with access for wheelchairs and disability scooters so that these people can also access and enjoy our beautiful environment”

A passionate advocate for Nelson Bay townships development, Sally has been a driving force behind the retention of the view corridor through Nelson Bay township, while still supporting development which will bring jobs and economic growth to the region.
