Or media@newsofthearea.com.au[/caption] Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE $50,000 will go towards improvements at Longworth Park, Karuah through reinvigorating the park with the installation of new shelters, picnic tables, cultural landscaping and park lighting for security. $25,000 will go towards revitalising Riverside Park, Raymond Terrace through funding the construction of a large, sheltered picnic area including a double barbeque, Colorbond shelter and picnic tables. Mr MacDonald said that the funding would assist in promoting better community integration through improved communal facilities. “Funding from the SHCIF not only improves community facilities, but brings tenants, neighbours and the wider community together,” Mr MacDonald said. “I am pleased that these community projects in Port Stephens will be assisted through this great government initiative.” The SCHIF provides one-off grants of up to $50,000 to councils, not-for-profit organisations and private sector organisations to undertake physical improvements in social housing communities or other areas visited by social housing tenants.
