Community Carols At 109 Foreshore Drive

IT is the time of year when community gathers and connects.

This year a very special Carols event will be held in the park at 109 Foreshore Drive, Salamander Bay on 17 December from 1-5 pm.

The Port Stephens Community Band will be playing and there will be a sausage sizzle which will raise funds for the band.

This is an opportunity to connect with locals and meet new friends.

Everyone is welcome and attendees are encouraged to bring a rug, chairs and whatever else you would like for a lovely casual afternoon on the waterfront.

Kids and adults alike may choose to push the boat or kayak out for a paddle, or simply take a dip in the crystal clear waters accessible directly from the park.

There is plenty of off street parking either on the corner of the Mambo Wetlands or in front of the park itself.

109 Foreshore Drive is a koala corridor so visitors to the site may be lucky enough to spot one of our furry locals at the event.

If you have been wondering why locals are opposing the sale of this block of land, popping into the Carols on 17 December is a perfect opportunity to see why some consider it an important public asset.
