Redkite Day was held on Friday, 3 June 2016 at Coles, Medowie to raise money for children with cancer. Coles Medowie employees supporting Redkite Day all dressed in Red for the special event The fundraising event, held each month by Coles stores Australia wide is a partnership between the supermarket giant and the charity that was launched in 2013. Coles employee and Redkite supporter, Ann Marie Stott-Lucas told Medowie News of the Area that Redkite is the “Charity that Coles supports. We support the families of children with cancer. Staff got into the spirit of the event by wearing red and decorating the store. Mattie Vukovich, Store Manager, told News of the Area that the monthly Redkite day is an important focus for Coles’ charity work, “We want to help families when they are going through a tough time; we have an event for Redkite each month.” Michael Kilday receiving a red donut from Coles team member Ann Marie Stott-Lucas and Ashlee Marmont.
