The Coffs Trail Runners are hosted the 2nd Rumble in the Jungle Trail Run on Sunday 6th August.

The event takes place at Ulong with runners exploring the rainforest and waterfalls of Bindarri National Park.

Distances range from a 1km kids run all the way up to a 50km ultramarathon.

President and Event Director of Coffs Trail Runners Keelan Birch spoke about the upcoming event “We are really excited to return to Ulong for the Rumble in the Jungle Trail Run. The response to the 2023 event has been huge!”

“The event sold out months ago and we have runners travelling from across NSW to explore the Coffs Harbour hinterland.”

“Last year we had just over 100 runners, this year we are looking at 250 runners. Trail running is really booming on the Coffs Coast!”

“Part of the success of this event is that the local community and businesses, particularly those at Ulong, see the long-term benefits of supporting a nature-based event like this for the hinterland”

“We are grateful to the support from local businesses which has led to us having over $2,000 of random draw prizes to give away at the presentation. This will lead to more people staying longer at the event.”

“Trail running is as much as about participation and building community than racing for a time or place. This is a core focus of Coffs Trail Runners – hosting successful not-for-profit events in an otherwise increasingly commercialised”

While most of the event has sold out, there are spots on the day for the kids run. Spectators, friends and families are most welcome at Ulong and to enjoy the catering by the local Mountain Community Network.
