Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au “Other regional centres such as Armidale, Tamworth, Port Macquarie and west of Grafton have popular trail running events that people travel far and wide for and we felt that it is time to bring a dedicated trail and mountain running event to our region and put Coffs Harbour on the trail running map.” The End Peak entry is free and offers a scenic kids race, 5km, 10km, 25km and 50km all starting from Sealy – an iconic high point overlooking Coffs Harbour, Solitary Islands, surrounding mountain ranges and along the coastline into the distance. This volunteer-run event is designed to showcase some of the best trails on the Coffs Coast. To get involved in the group and/or the event see their Facebook and Instagram pages, called ‘Coffs Trail Runners’. Coffs Trail Runners is a free social running group whose members love to explore the Coffs Coast’s beach, rainforest and mountain terrain that we are so fortunate to have in our area. The group spirit is founded on exploring and sharing the best trails on the Coffs Coast for free and seeking fun adventures in the bush and along the beach. Runs, and sometimes hikes, range anywhere from 5km to 20km but there is always a short or long and slow or fast group option. Members usually meet once a month for a social run up and down the Coffs Coast, although lately they have been meeting more regularly in preparation to make a great show for The End Peak.
