COFFS Women Golfers Excel at the WGCNC Annual Tournament

A small group of Coffs Harbour ladies travelled to South West Rocks to compete in the Womens Golf Central North Coast annual tournament.

The event was held over three days from 2 – 4 August.

The 36 hole championship was held over the first 2 days with Beck Goldsmith and Carrie Fagan taking out the event as joint winners on 168 with Wendy Johnstone the runner up on 171.

Carrie also won the Champion of Champions due to her also being the Coffs Harbour Ladies Club Champion.

Greer Galloway placed 2nd in the net competition with a score of 150.

The Beryl Avery Teams event (three team members) was won by Beck Goldsmith, Carrie Fagan and Wendy Johnstone.

This event was for the best two of three gross scores over the 1st 18 holes of the Championship.

The AA Maloney Cup is a four person Teams event which was also won by Beck Goldsmith, Carrie Fagan, Wendy Johnstone and Greer Galloway.

The Foursomes event was held on day three of the Tournament with Beck Goldsmith and Carrie Fagan taking out this event with a score of 84.

What an unbelievable tournament all of our ladies had, obviously playing great golf and proudly representing our club.
