COFFS Harbour Basketball Association are looking for coaches to guide the Coffs Harbour Suns teams for the upcoming 2022 representative season. The Suns are coming off a big 2021 representative season in which 140 juniors featured in 15 teams, the biggest number of teams Coffs Basketball has seen for some time. Anyone interested in coaching a Suns team in 2022 can express their interest by emailing coaches@coffsharbourbasketball.com.au. For anyone interested in playing for the Suns next season, representative trials will be held when restrictions on community sport are lifted. Coffs Harbour Suns coach Felicity Cook espoused the benefits of joining the Suns coaching community. “To be part of a community, and give back to junior players looking to develop their skills,” she said. “Also, to further your communication and leadership skills, and make meaningful relationships with like-minded coaches. “And to follow a pathway into coaching representative and Basketball NSW programs.” The Coffs Harbour Basketball Association’s winter season was in full swing before last month’s lockdown put a halt to the competitions. The Coffs Harbour Basketball Association features senior and junior competitions played throughout each week at Sportz Central The women’s competitions are played on Tuesday night, while the men’s are played on Wednesday night. High school competitions are played on Friday afternoon and evenings, while primary school competitions are played on Saturday mornings.
