The brains behind the business are brothers Josh (18), David (15) and Sam (9).

The trio started practising woodwork when their grandmother bought them a scroll saw.

They started with little puzzles, key rings, fretwork, before creating their first little intarsias (timber inlay creations).

They joined a woodwork club and picked up many skills from the more experienced woodworkers.

Friends and fellow woodworkers passed on off cuts which they used for their intarsias.

They started their little business ‘The Woodbrothers’ and sold their woodwork on markets and exhibitions.

They used the money to upgrade their machinery.

Over the years, they developed many different skills and created their own designs.

Josh has built his own guitar and the brothers are always full of new ideas and creations.

The oldest boy Josh recently started a carpentry apprenticeship and the younger ones keep enjoying their hobby.

You can support these young entrepreneurs by visiting them at Bendigo Bank as they host the boys in their Retail Pop-up store at the front of the branch from Monday 18 to Friday 22 January.

The Bendigo Bank Retail Pop-up space is completely free for local makers to utilise and sell their hand made products.

Since opening in July 2020 the bank has hosted over 16 local micro-businesses in the heart of the Coffs City Centre.

Small businesses are now welcome to apply for a free space from March to June 2021.
