Coffs Coast women invited to apply for Young Women in Public Affairs Award

THE goal of the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award Program is to encourage young women to participate in public affairs by recognising leadership achievements and a dedication to the empowerment of members of her community, especially women or girls.

The Zonta Club of Coffs Harbour, Inc has been operating the YWPA Program in the Coffs Coast region since 1998.

The Zonta International YWPA Award Program looks to the young women of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Applicants aged 16-19 on 1st April 2021, studying at a secondary school, TAFE, college or university in the Coffs Coast region are eligible to apply.

The criteria include: a record of school and /or workplace leadership achievement, experience in local or student government, and an active commitment to volunteerism.

The overall winner of the Zonta Club of Coffs Harbour, Inc award will be presented at the Coffs Coast IWD Breakfast to be held on 8th March 2021.

The winner may then go on to win at Zonta District and International levels.
