Piontciana trees. In the early 1980s Don Clich long term resident and real estate proprietor lobby all the relevant authorities to plant some street trees. He arranged local nursery owner Carl Freeman (my employer) to supply at heavily discount price and we planted several of the advanced trees. What shame the power cant be altered to keep them in this age of mankind spending multi billions of dollars to try to prevent human oblivion by theslash and burn developement past hundreds of years. What a shame that the shade and beautiful trees upset a small body of people when they are a well known attraction. I was part of the planting the original of these trees in nightingale street. We now reside in the central coast and most people we meet down here relate directly to the red flowering trees to identify woolpi. Please save one of best assetes of a summer in woopi. Reply
