Citizen of the Year for Paterson: deadline 12 June 2015 MidCoast LGA (overall news) by NOTA - June 9, 2015 Federal Member for Paterson, Bob Baldwin has called on constituents in Paterson to nominate individuals within the community who they feel are inspirational and deserve recognition. Mr Baldwin calls on these nominations ahead of the Paterson Citizen of the Year Awards, to be held Wednesday evening the 1st July 2015. “In my travels throughout the Paterson electorate, I constantly meet residents who work hard for others and to make our community a better place. These unsung heroes, who do such amazing and inspirational work, generally don’t seek reward or recognition for their efforts,” said Mr Baldwin. The Paterson Citizen of the Year Awards celebrate the achievements of others through nominating residents who benefit the community. “I am asking constituents to nominate someone you know from the Paterson electorate to help me celebrate the achievements of others by nominating a resident who has excelled in our community. This is an opportunity to praise the achievements and services of some of the many amazing individuals who we encounter in our daily lives,” said Mr Baldwin. There are seven categories for nominations: • Citizen of the Year (18 to 65) • Senior Citizen of the Year (65+) • Community Organisation of the Year • Corporate Citizen of the Year • Young Citizen of the Year (18 years and under) • Sports Achiever of the Year (18 +) • Young Sports Achiever of the Year (18 years and under). “I will be honouring these citizens personally at the Paterson Citizen of the Year Awards Ceremony accompanied by a special guest,” said Mr Baldwin. Nomination forms will be accepted by fax, mail, email or in person by close of business tomorrow 12 June 2015, for further information please contact (02) 4983 1330.
